Dry Skin Brushing The 9 Steps how to

As with cleaning your teeth, dry body brushing must be done in the correct way for maximum results.

1.     Start with your hands and fingers.  With fingers extended brush between each finger seven times in any direction.  Brush between thumb and fore-finger, first down and then up.  Brush 14 times on top of the hand and 14 times underneath from the wrist to the top of the fingers.

2.     Next, your arms.  Brush in long strokes from the wrist to the elbow, then from the elbow to the shoulder, making sure you always brush in the direction of the heart.

3.     Toes and feet should come after this.  Brush across the tops of the toes about 14 times, then the bottom of the toes.  Brush the soles of the feet about 14 times, then around the ankles, moving from the foot to the ankle.

4.     Now do your legs.  Brush the entire surface of the leg 14 times from the ankle to the knee, and then 14 times from the knee to the hip again always in the direction of the heart.

5.     After this, go up to the neck.  Vibrate the brush, keeping it in place, at the base of the head.  When brushing small areas, the handle should be detached.  Brush downwards when brushing the neck, on to the larynx.  This will activate the thyroid gland.  Holding the brush at the top of the back, swing it gently round the area. This apparently stimulates the immune system, helping it to fight infection.

6.     To stimulate the lymphatic system, hold the brush in the left armpit and rotate it round, seven times to the left and seven times to the right.  Repeat with other armpit.  Many lymph nodes are situated in the armpit, and this action gets them working again.

7.     Now you can do the front and sides of the body, again with long, single strokes in the direction of the heart.  Women should avoid brushing over the nipples.

8.     The back is, for the majority of people, the most difficult part to brush, but with a long-handled brush you should be able to reach most areas.  As always, brush towards the heart.

9.     To get rid of cellulite, brush buttocks and thighs in any direction about 14 times.  Done regularly, this action will shift cellulite and give a firm non-bulgy outline.

The skin brushing will, of course, be doubly, or even triply effective if combined with the right sort of diet and exercise, such as a brisk walk.

Skin brushing in fact may be a wonderful way of improving circulation, toning up the internal organs and helping the skin to eliminate accumulated waste products.

Skin brushing cannot do any harm, and at best it can certainly improve sluggish circulation and give you a wide-awake and alert feeling first thing in the morning.  A feeling like radiant health and you will feel young, with great anti ageing benefits which will help you to stay young.

Recipe: Banana Muffins with Protein Powder YUM Ingredients:

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, beat together.

Add mashed banana. Dissolve soda in vanilla and milk separately. Mix the protein powder in with the flour, then add to the mixture alternating with the milk mixture. Mix well. Pour into greased muffin pan.
